Beautiful winter getaway (and surprise engagement spot!)
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a short birthday trip that turned into an engagement on the back deck under the stars! This cabin is truly special and a unique place. We loved the views and the cozy space, with plenty of snow to enjoy.

Perfect Cozy Getaway
The weather got cold, but the cabin was cozy. Loved disconnecting and playing games by the fire. Took a hike through the woods out back - cool spot!

Superb Cabin and Location
I highly recommend this A-Frame cabin. It is beautifully situated with front and back meadows bordering Coconino National Forest lands. It is in a perfect location for visiting the Grand Canyon in the north, Sedona and the Verdi Valley to the south, the San Francisco mountains to the West and the Hopi Mesas to the east. The A-Frame itself is very well equipped with excellent quality appliances and kitchen ware. It is a very comfortable and quiet place to relax and enjoy the view. I am very pleased to have stayed there.

I am originally from Chicago but have lived in the Arcadia neighborhood since college. We enjoy hiking, biking, and snowshoeing the trails behind the cabins as well as snowboarding and cross country skiing at nearby Snowbowl Resort. Most of our free time over the last couple of years have been taken up on our renovation of @AFrameFlagstaff, @TinyCabinFlagstaff, and @TinyCabinTucson using sustainable building practices, recycled materials, and no VOC plant based coatings. All three of us (including our dog Lily) have allergies so we try to keep the cabin as dust and allergen free as possible. It's rewarding to help bring families and friends together from all over the world to enjoy the wonders of Arizona and to share the living experience in our cabins. A portion of your homestay fee helps support both Flagstaff Family Food Center, Food Bank and Kitchen as well as OpenHomes disaster relief. We are committed to Living Wage Pledge for our team.

Why they chose this property

The property is a great mix of a peaceful rural area with great vistas but 10 minutes from the excitement of a vibrant mountain town and is one of the highest in the country at 7,000 feet in elevation. The summers are warm but not hot like the central Arizona desert. Be prepared for warm summer days (average high is 78 degrees) and chilly nights (average low is 42 degrees)

What makes this property unique

A very quiet secluded country setting with great views of the mountains and in the midst of the world’s largest Ponderosa Pine forest.
