About this property

Luxury Adirondack 14ft Water Wheel Cabin with Lake Access & HOT TUB <NEW>

No expense was spared in building the Wheel House and it has its name because of a 14 ft Water Wheel which funnels over 22,000 gallons of water each day from a spring fed pond. The house setting is very remote with no building structures in site however only 5 minutes too the nearest grocery/gas store and 20 minutes from major dining and shopping. The house is surrounded by 100 foot pine trees with a slow running brook called "Beaver Creek" so hearing the calming sounds of the creek makes for a very relaxing getaway and leaving the door open while sleeping is almost a must. The house is setup for entertaining, next to the stream is an outdoor area with a gas fire pit with large Adirondack chairs to have those camp fires with smores and drinks.

The inside of the house has a gourmet style kitchen fully stocked with high end cookware and dishes for big family dinners. It has a cabin feel with 2 feet thick pine beams in the ceiling with deer sculptured stair walls. It may be in the woods however every room and common areas have large flat screen TV's with high speed internet for this days you need to catch up on some work or enjoy watching new movies from the Apple Tv which are on every TV. The master bedroom is on the second floor and has a California king bed with an attached bathroom. The bathroom has a extra large tub to soak those worries away and a large shower with 2 his and hers sinks. Also has a back porch to looks over the pond, water wheel and Beaver river stream. On the first floor is the main entertainment area with living room and kitchen, also the 1/2 bathroom and the second bedroom with a queen bed and closet are on the first floor. The couches are custom made which pulls out into 2 queen very comfortable beds. The house sleeps 8 comfortably with 2 in master, 2 in second bedroom and 4 in the living room on pull out beds. Also is a porch which also looks over the pond, WaterWheel and Beaver River. NEW 6person Hot tub available

Wheel House
The wheel house is a beautiful, clean, private house with wonderful quaint amenities. Would highly recommend visiting. The property manager was very accommodating even with our many questions/booking changes along the way. Wonderful place!

Unbelievable experience!
Scott and Ina were incredible hosts! They’re communication is as impeccable! The house is absolutely spotless with everything you can think of being available! Forget to bring coffee don’t worry they have some available! Forget towels don’t worry a full shelf of towels beautifully organized for your convenience! And many more! They provided a very warm welcome with some s’mores supplies and wine! They went above and beyond to get us connected with a family friend to rent out additional kayaks! They allowed us to check in a little early! I don’t think 5 stars is enough to put this house and Scott and Inas commitment to provide the best experience! Will 100% be staying here again!

A waterwheel?
Great house. It had everything I wanted in it. The beds were very comfortable. Our dogs felt right at home. The kitchen was very functional. We had everything we needed. We cooked two out of our three dinners and all of our breakfast and lunches. We use the washing machine several times. We never had a chance to try the fire pit. The grounds were well-kept and clean. The table on the back porch became our focal point for sitting and resting. The neighborhood offers great biking and some hiking. The water wheel is in nice decoration, but it makes noise overnight, like a groaning animal. The only other thing I would have liked would’ve been the ability to put the kayaks in the stream behind the property. That was not possible because of shallowness and debris in the stream. And you would have to be comfortable kayaking through two culverts before getting to the Hinckley Reservoir.

Quick Stay in the Wheelhouse
We had a quick but pleasant stay here in October 2022. I could have used a few more days. Hinckley Reservior is spectacular and you feel like you are deep in the woods here. Very efficient use of space and perfectly decorated. I highly recommend it.

My wife and I currently live in Florida and visit as much as we can to properties in the Adirondacks. Traveling is our main business so we understand how our guests would feel and take to consideration from the importance of privacy to the perfected bed setup for our guests to have the best sleep they can away from their homes.

Why they chose this property

The property sits on a spring feed pond which pours out 22,000 gallons daily into a 14ft water wheel. Tree are all around the property with no structures or neighbors in sight. Less than 1/8 of a mile you can walk or drive to the beach relax by the 3200 acre Hinckley Lake. The Adirondack Mountains is a magical area with so much to do. People in the area are kind and helpful where they will welcome you back and make you feel right at home. Nothing compares to living or at least visiting this area as its truly unique.

What makes this property unique

The summer months there are small 'get to gathers' in and around the lake. Boaters will tie up in the middle of the lake and enjoy music and drinks. You enjoy a glass of wine at the beach or go up the mountain at the house which is 150 feet higher with views of the lake and Adirondack Mountains. In the winter months you can enjoy snowmobiling as it is located in the middle of the snow-belt with thousands groomed miles of trail riding.
