About this property

Fully remodeled Private Cabin on 60 acres with pond and stream

Used formerly as a loggers cabin in the early 1900's; this cabin is in the woods with privacy, yet only a 15-20 min drive to Penn State University. The cabin features a stone wood fireplace, a half bath and separate shower area. There are two bedrooms on the second floor with three twin beds and one queen in the front bedroom and three twin beds and one double in the back bedroom. There is a TV downstairs with a fire stick upon which You Tube TV is provided. So, please bring your passwords for any and all streaming needs. There is cell phone coverage and WIFI is available. An outdoor fire pit along with numerous hiking trails also exist.
If you're looking for a party cabin, this isn't it! Responsible adult inquiries only. Please no smoking, no pets.
The pond is a short walk and is stocked with large mouth bass, perch, and catfish; and is catch and release only. In the summer, top water lures and weedless lures work best.
The stream that runs through the property is small, but large enough that it is stocked with trout by the local sportsman club.

Since COVID 19, we have enhanced some of our procedures in the interest of everyone’s health and safety. In addition, we have an air purifier that runs continually, and is cleaned routinely. We continue to ask all guests to bring their own bed linens, pillows, toiletries, bath towels, and any blanket / comforters; you may desire. Moving forward, we continue to keep your safety in mind; thank you for your patience and trust in us!

Into the woods
Enjoyed a short weekend getaway to Warriors Mark. Basketball brought us to the State College area, it was so nice not hotel it, and have the cabin at our disposal. The time at the cabin was limited, but very relaxing and chill surrounded by nature.

Cozy cabin retreat close to State College
We enjoyed our 2-night stay and appreciated the privacy & seclusion of this cabin, while also being only about 20 minutes away from State College. The living room is cozy, with several large, comfy couches, a TV, and a wood-burning fireplace -- it was a good gathering place. The dining area has a huge table with plenty of room for family game night, and there's also a smaller table as well. Kitchen is well-equipped. Lots of beds to choose from on the second level, although the stairs getting up there are very steep and shallow, and a bit tricky to navigate. The half-bath and separate shower room are a little tight, space-wise, but for our small group (3 people) it was fine. Front porch has some of the most comfortable wooden rocking chairs we've ever sat in & made for a lovely place to sit & rock while reading a book. Outdoor firepit is large, very nice, with plenty of seating. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate for much of our stay; we were able to use the firepit on our first night, but non-stop cold rain the next day prevented us from exploring the surrounding property or doing much of anything outside that whole day. We'd like to come back again at a different time of year when it's a little warmer and leaves are on the trees, check out the trails and hopefully do some fishing in the pond or stream.

Great Cabin
The cabin was the perfect place to relax after a day at State College for my son’s wrestling tournament. The boy fished and sat by the fire. Great place to return to again when we are not so busy and can enjoy all the cabin has to offer!

Simple cabin on a beautiful property!
The cabin is cozy but there are definitely no frills. Bring your own bedding, pillows, & towels. The property is secluded & on a private lot. The fire pit is the highlight of this stay! About a 30 minute drive from Beaver Stadium. Would recommend this stay & would come again!

My wife and I purchased this property as a recreational property to escape to. Our family uses the property to hunt, fish and enjoy the outdoors. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the front porch or sitting around the fire pit on a crisp morning enjoying our coffee and company, while watching all the wildlife. It is our hope that you enjoy it as well.

Why they chose this property

Being a graduate of Penn State, we fell in love with the area and all it has to offer. We were looking for property close to Penn State, but also offered privacy in the woods, surrounded by an abundance of wildlife.

What makes this property unique

We have created a forest stewardship plan and are constantly tending to our forest and numerous food plots around the property. There is an active sawmill on the property that helps put to good use the renewable resource of the forest. In the winter we enjoy tapping our maple trees and making syrup. We live nearby and are blessed that we can use the cabin all year long.
