Fun weekend

We love the location. The home itself was nice and beautiful, but the fireplace did not work. It got turned on and then wouldn't shut off on its own remotefor it wouldnot work. Had to get the fireplace shut completely off because it was getting way too hot. Did not get to use the fireplace at all but the heaters worked.The home was still cozy!

You don't have to go too rustic to visit the middle of nowhere.

I love visiting the Yankee Fork area, and this cabin is a great place if you don't want to camp or be too primitive. The manager/owner is very welcoming and helpful. I didn't realize it before, but the neighborhood this cabin is in is the original camp/town created for the dredge workers and their families and I thought that was an interesting historical tie to the area. One note on accessibility: the shower/tub combo is a big jetted tub and it is quite the climb in and out, so just a heads up for someone that might have difficulty doing that.

Short stay at Claude's cabin

We enjoyed our stay at Claude's cabin very much. It was clean and comfortable. Nice atmosphere and very homey. Our host Eric was very accommodating and friendly. The bedroom setups are different than shown on line. It says there are 2 queens in bedroom 1, 2 queens in bedroom 2, and 2 bunkbeds in bedroom 3. However, the set up was 1 queen, 2 queens, and 1 bunk with double on bottom and single on top. But they were very comfortable including the couch hide-a-bed. It's a beautiful area and we enjoyed exploring and seeing the highlights. We'd stay again.

Great Fishing

Yankee Fork was right across the road and we had tons of fun exploring the river and catching lots of fish. The gold dredge and ghost town up the road were interesting.
